SWEET POTATO CASSEROLE


1 large can yams (mashed)
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1/2 stick butter, softened
1/2 tbsn. vanilla

Beat all together with a mixer. Put in an 8x8 casserole dish that has been buttered all over.

TOPPING:
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup flour
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/4 cup butter(rest of the stick in regular form)not softened

Mix together until gooey. Spread all over top of yam mixture using fingers. It will blend while cooking. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
