1 can of salmon
celery, chopped fine
onion, chopped fine
1 egg
crackers or bread crumbs
lemon juice

Mix everything  together and form patties.  Pan fry using either a nonstick cooking spray or canola oil until golden brown on each side and cooked through.    I would normally serve it with ketchup, not tarter sauce.

This was Daddy's basic recipe for salmon cakes.  Of course, his tasted way better than mine.  I think he had a secret ingredient he forgot to tell me about.
